the idea of a huge petition kicks ass!!! I say lets do it, but first lets make some noise about it on this and as many other ghostbuster sites as possible! Seriously would could get some “buzz” going in the studios if we got even a couple hundred signatures from people in all different towns and cities. A way to do this rather than sit in front of a store or somthing could be to ask people to sign in a mall or leave copies to sign in a video store and pick up the signatures after like a month. I'm sure we could do this if it were a group effort, and you never know what might come of it.

Just to kind of elaborate on the whole petition idea…. Why don't we set up Ghostbusters.net outposts throughout the country. Now this wouldn't involve renting out buildings and running up huge bills (although I would pay my last dime to see this movie get made). All we would have to do would be enlist dedicated GB fans throughout the U.S. to go to malls, discount stores, or anywhere that has people, and to request signatures. They could dress in uniform and even set up a television and play clips of GHostbusters. Die hard GB fans could bring their equipment and Ectos and let the kids check them out;their signatures would fly too. And after a couple of weeks of getting signatures, we could have each outpost leader submit all of their signatures to somebody who can get them read. It may not be much but it's a start.

WhoYaGonnaCall?, that is the most ingenious idea I have heard from anybody on this board (including myself). I can't even think of a better idea than yours. Let's try it. smile

The GB.net outpost thing is cool. We should place them in places that have at least a little relevancy. Did I spell that right? Oh well. Anyway, like at carshows with cadillacs and stuff like that. BTTF.com has a booth at the Delorean car show (I forget where it is held) and they promote Back to the Future and it spread the word about the DVD pretty well. Why can't the same happen for Ghostbusters?

Great idea, I'm all for it but a couple hundred wouldn't do much. Doesn't anyone remember a post like this a few months ago? The refering to the Family Guy petition that had around 50,000 signatures (I'm guesing here I can't remember the exact amount so don't #@%@# at me anyonej) and that show as great as it was was never put back on the air. This plan could work though, I always thought it would but you'll need a lot of help. I applaud all you who are getting the word out to the outside community though. God speed.

DctrPeteVenkman, I think the “ET” photo you were referring to is a stretched-out photo of Pauly Shore. The legendary actor has appeared in many classic films, inluding: “In the Army Now,” “Son-In-Law,” “Jury Duty,” and “Encino Man.” He is so hilarious!! smile

I know at some point everyone here has to ask themselves what kind of GB would Pauly Shore make? the possibilities
