The trick is to promote the comics, not make people think you're a freak.
If you're going to walk around in your GB gear then that's up to you, but know your audience. If you're just walking around the mall like that on a weekend, you're more likely to get beat up than anything else. But if you're walking around at say…Wizard World Chicago, or the San Diego ComiCon? Well, that's different, isn't it? Especially since we know the guys will be there, and curious onlookers can be pointed in their direction.
My thinking on promotion would be to first start with an internet push. Get it out to every news site you can get your hands on. Comics Continuum, The Pulse, Newsarama, you get the idea. Maybe after they've revealed all four to us here, they could come up with a promo poster of all four that could be used by all the news sites, as a banner ad, etc. Then as the news builds, place an ad in a trade magazine like Wizard…or better yet, something like Entertainment Weekly…as they're now doing comic stuff too. But do it right before the comic goes up for preorder. If you get everyone's attention, they're bound to come and see what all the fuss is about.
