Egon weilding a RGB PKE Meter makes me happy inside.

Seconded. That's awesome.

It'll be less awesome if some editor makes them change it, though; they had Ray and Egon with their animated hair colors on the promo cover for Ghost Busted and they changed that for the final version, after all.

iliaskrzs on Deviantart has posted a interview with Scott Lobdell detailing his work on Displaced Agression and some minor story bits (I haven't fully read the interview so discretion is advised for those wary of spoilers):

Well Dang - it says “Cover A” on there. Guess that means there will be varients to collect. After the whole Legion debacle, I have really come to dispise varient covers.

From the IDW books I read, they do love their variant covers. In the Joss Whedon books by IDW, there are usually two standard covers. Two alternates of those standard covers, usually marked by the retailer who's offering it exclusively, a virgin cover and/or a sketch cover. A fifth cover is then sometimes thrown in for kicks it seems.

I don't imagine they'll be more than two covers per issue, the regular ones by the series artist and the ones by the guy who did the covers for The Other Side.

IDW sure moved fast… Here's the solicitation for #3 due out in November.

Spoilers ahead.

GHOSTBUSTERS: DISPLACED AGGRESSION #3

Written by Scott Lobdell, art by Ilias Kyriazis, covers by Kyriazis and Nick Runge.

Part 3: “Here Today, Egon Tomorrow.” When Peter, Ray and Rachel arrive in the near-distant future on a Mars colony where they've located the chronologically displaced Dr. Egon Spengler, they discover the base is under the thumb of an imposing and mostly benevolent dictator‹Egon himself! It's Ghostbuster vs. Ghostbuster… with the fate of modern-day Earth in the balance!

“Near-distant”?

Oxymoron much?

New art:

Now that's what the proton streams should look like… not those week, light blue and red streams in The Other Side, proper orange and blue streams of crackling energy!
While that is some great piece of art, I don't think bloody axe injuries and splattered brain parts belong in the Ghostbusters universe.

We've already had Venkman ripping out a demon's spine, I'd say this is a step down from that.
