I would gladly go to one of those. Although I have NO idea where you're suggesting to have it.

It hasn't really progressed that far yet - it's still in the “what if and how would it work?” stages.

Ah. Okay.

My issue with this would be the fact that most theaters, if they do bring it around, only bring it around for a one time midnight showing. Thus, people doing stupid things like this prevents people from seeing their favorite movie on the big screen and actually being able to enjoy it. I know that I'd be pissed if I couldn't sit and watch the movie and enjoy it as is without somebody yelling out stupid comments. I absolutely hate it when people do that at movies. Its not funny, its just annoying.

My point being, even if its publicized as being “interactive” or whatever you want to call it, how many theaters would also have a non-interactive showing so that people can actually just sit and watch the movie the way its meant to be seen.

Agreed. For Rocky Horror, if you're going to a screening, you can expect the comments and the props - that's the whole point - but Rocky Horror really is a special case. I don't see that kind of activity taking off for another movie, unless it were screened at a convention of some kind and it caught on with the other congoers. Even then, it would be a con thing, because outside the convention center it would be irritating.

Now, a drinking game for the animated series… that would be fun.

If you are entering the theater with the idea that you're going to sit and watch a movie in silence, of course it'll be annoying; nobody likes it when people talk during a movie. But the difference is that you're supposed to know that you're going to watch an interactive movie; you're supposed to know what's going on; you're not supposed to have a negative reaction.

My point being, even if its publicized as being “interactive” or whatever you want to call it, how many theaters would also have a non-interactive showing so that people can actually just sit and watch the movie the way its meant to be seen.

That's a different subject, if you want theaters to show the movie for the joy of watching it on the big screen in silence, suggest them.

And here I was foolishly thinking that was the purpose of movie theaters. Silly me.

Absolutely. Now that's something to concentrate efforts on…

I thought you wanted to say that you wanted more theaters to show GB (*winston)

No, my point was if theaters actually went along with this idea where people would be obnoxious and be yelling things and doing things to make the movie “interactive”, how many of them would also still invest the time in screening the movie for regular audiences as well. So that it isn't someone's only option to see their favorite movie on the big screen by having to put up with people ruining the experience by trying to be “interactive”.
