Ghostbusters Expanded Universe??????

I was wondering about some of the other Ghostbusters stuff out there, like the novel, The Return, and some of the comics, etc etc.

Is there any other stuff that we could fit in as a ‘canon’ type Expanded Universe, like Star Wars has. Meaning, are there books and comics that could fit in and DON'T contradict each other?

My Expanded Universe Collection only consists of this so far, in Chronological order:

Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters 2
Ghostbusters: The Video Game
Return of the Ghostbusters Fanfilm

(I know RoTGB technically wouldn't be part of a Official EU, but I include it because it doesn't contradict anything else, and Ed was mentioned in the video game, so why not?)

Anything else fit that doesn't contradict that stuff? And if so, where?

If you wanna throw together a Real Ghostbusters EU, as well, go for it. LOL. All I know from that would be:

The Real Ghostbusters
Extreme Ghostbusters

While we sit and wait if Fritz does or doesn't show up…let me redirect you to his awesome site: http://ectozone.com/ which is the home of the Omnibus Timeline…

There's actually three different versions there; the “Classic” Timeline covers the two movies, the animation, the old Now Comics, and even the more recent Ghostbusters: Legion comics. All except Legion were done in a sort of pseudo-real time progression, and more or less work out okay.

The “New Version” covers the movies, the recent comics (The Other Side and Ghost Busted), and eventually the Video Game as soon as some good write ups are done. As the material here all represents retcons that ignore the above material, I decided that placing it in a seperate section made more sense.

The GBI Timeline is more of a “fanon”, building off the Classic Timeline with lots of fan fics and the occassional nods to non-GB canons.

Aw man, do we have to count The Other Side?

Fanon, I like that.

Love your work, Fritz, keep it up.

Im all for fan work. but i hope they never actually create a GB:EU it made star wars way to complicated (and nerdy). as for the comics, treat them as they are, just side stories that are associated.
