I don't thik a whole lotta people are going to go for this version, especially if you have to purchase all of your equipment.

Meh… doesn't look that great to me. Its definitely not something I'm gonna go for. I don't have a DS, but the game coming out on Wii was the straw that broke my back to finally buy one… this version? Not so much.

I'll go for it, I love portable games. I don't think it's purchasing equipment though, it might be something like upgrading or something. I'm not sure why they would go back to the old version where you have to buy the equipment when we all already know they make there own equipment.

Either way, I'm glad to finally see some new screens!

I think the sim could be done right and as many of use has pointed out the flaws of the games surely they learned their lesson

I don't know. The first thing I thought when I saw that first picture was: “Oh crap. Why did they go back to the store?” It doesn't really look like it's just for upgrades. The text spells out what the PKE meter is and does, but I don't see anything about adding or upgrading it (ie: expand your range or something to that effect).

My wife has a DS. While I plan on getting the 360 and Wii versions the day of the release, after seeing these pictures I'll probably wait on this one. I'm sure I'll get it at some point, but it doesn't look like it needs to be an immediate addition.
