Biased 1 sided 360 fanboy.

You're dead wrong, Batman. I can't see how you logically deduced he was a 360 Fanboy.

I have a PS3 and I am not alienated nor are everyone else outside of Europe & Australia.

I think that being a PS3 owner has blinded you somewhat to the actual issue here. You're not alienated because you're not having your preferred version of the game ripped away from you.

The way I see it Ghostbusters fully belongs to Sony and they can really do what they like until someone buys it from them.

Just because they own it doesn't mean they have the right to do what they did. George Lucas is a prime example.

I still feel sorry for other console owners who will have to wait 3 months extra or so to play the game, but I think they will find ways to get the game, be that through import or illegal copies.

The latest estimate is 6 months, around November 30th.

Before I forget, a little tip for all the PAL 360 users…

http://vgplus.blogspot.com/

…A little blog belonging to a Canadian games retailer, who check all NTSC 360 games on a PAL 360 on release to check if they are region free or not and then report the findings there.

I'll certainly be checking with them come June 16th, and if it turns out region free, I'll no doubt be making an order, they also do International courier shipping via DHL, so you should be able to get the game within 2-4 days, depending on stock.

Theoretically if they test it on the 16th, all turns out good, and you order it on that day, It could be in your hands by the 19th!

That isn't really a good comparison. The coy of Resident Evil for the Gamecube was a brand new build, rather than a port of the same game.

It was a port that was upgraded.

The resident evil 4 was a better comparison to a real port as it was the same code only with added stuff. The graphics were downgraded because the PS2 couldn't handle the graphics that the gamecube did. So some graphical differences were evident.

1. Behind closed doors there is a battle between Sony and Microsoft but thats not a gamers battle so im not protesting a fight between brands here. Whenever there is a competitor than theres a fight….

2. As a hardcore gamer i love both systems for their own reasons but we all know what format won between Blu-ray and HD-DVD and if you know anything about that..its not that one “looks better” its a matter of what can hold more memory and for obvious reasons Blu-ray won

3. Its just a personal satisfaction to get Ghostbusters: TVG on my PS3 because, Yes it is a Sony brand name and PS3 is from Sony it just seems “right”…

The point of everything i even started to say in my first post was that with they delay of the 360 version simply does suck. I would just hate to hear about a game that is out yet i cant play it because publishing issues between Sony and Atari in the European countries.

And a $500 million bribe to Warner Brothers didn't hurt either.

And no, its not right, what is right is Sony allowing Atari to continue to publish these on the other consoles at the same time, thats what feels right.

I'm going to swoop in before someone responds to that bribary remark.

Whatever benefits the Blu-ray may bring. The underlining fact of the matter is this has been done because Sony is trying to artificially boost sales of their brand console. Not because the game will play nicely because Sony beat HDDVD.

Not so much for people who don't like the DualShock design as much as the 360 controller. Honestly, that fact usually dictates which console I buy a game for.

Also, by that logic if you aren't playing it on a Sony brand TV using Sony branded HD cables does it somehow lessen the experience?

I do agree with this, I know it is Sony's property and all that, but yeah, that doesn't mean that just playing it on their console makes sense.

Ah, doesn't matter, unfortunately whats done is done, the only thing that would make it better is if Sony changed their mind and gave Atari back the rights, but thats probably just me wishing.
