• After the contest has closed our judges will pick the winner. The Winner will receive his items the day they release.(Note it also depends on where the winner lives due to shipping could be next day arrival)

2. Entrant must reside in Canada or USA.

5. You can use any video editing software, You may only use Ghostbuster related logos and songs (If you want to make a custom theme song you can)
   
6. All entries must be submitted by the end date or you will be Disqualified.
   
7. This contest is Free to enter no purchase is necessary.
   
8. You may not use any Foul language or any racial or sexual content in your video.
   
9. Failure to follow these rules will result in your elimination from the contest.

The criticism is justified and not in the least bit “immature”, Reaper. If you'd gone with “Fan Competition” from the beginning there wouldn't have been an issue… but to use “Official” in past announcements, and to continue to use it in some areas of your web forum is misrepresentative of the competition.

I also would've advised using a web address that wasn't one hyphen-away from being identical to the game's official web address.


And I question the neccesity for reposting the rules for a second time when they're all there in the first page of this topic.

There is nothing wrong with the domain for one thing cause look at ghostbusters.net nothing wrong with that and second its our official contest its ghostbusters-game.com its not by the official people who made it or Sony your right its by us. And also im not asking for any money or anything like that. Im giving people a chance to win some cool prizes and have fun while waiting for the game to come out, and i dont see anything wrong with it.

As I was trying to explain to you at a previous time.. misrepresentation can get you in a whole lot of trouble.

That's because GBN is obviously not a official website when a person first sees it. I don't know if the people who aren't regular community members could as easily tell your site isn't connected to the game marketing. People with far more sinister intentions have capitalised off of “almost identical” web addresses in the past…

But will everyone who may visit your forum know that? You should at least add a disclaimer.

Frankly, I think you should just strike the word “official” from any mention of the competition. It might be your “official” competition but I don't see why saying “official” is in any way neccesary. (And I'm thankful to say you appear to have done this)

and i dont see anything wrong with it.

And such a comment may vindicate some people's concerns about your approach.
