The other day I was looking to buy a GPS for my car when suddenly it occured to me that I'd love a Ghostbusters GPS. Just imagine it. The device could work like a PKE meter that makes the same beeps and crackles and has little wings which light up, rise and fall. The instructions could be voiced by Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis and Hudson and you can choose which voice you want to hear. The device could also have the siren from the Ecto 1 and when you arrive at your destination the theme song plays.

Mio Technology made one based on Knightrider a couple of years ago.

Perhaps we could contact one of these GPS manufacturers with the idea. I think that the actors would be willing to lend their voices, afterall they did for the videogame.

Honestly, this seems like a really weird idea to me. I can't see any reason behind the customization of a GPS device. I just don't see the point. It's a GPS. It's just there to give you directions. It doesn't need to have a theme.

I can guarantee you Murray won't do it too. Aykroyd, sure… probably Hudson… maybe Ramis. But the Video Game had a point. All of the guys wouldn't necessarily be interested in this just because it's voiceover work again. The Video Game had a story, and a point. I highly doubt the guys are going to get excited to sit in a booth and say “Turn Left” “Continue for 40 miles” etc.

Knight Rider I can see why, but Ghostbusters doesn't really have a point. Hell, they had a Mr. T theme for this too, and that was pretty weird.
