Please Vote Properly please…

Dan Akyroyd has confirmed there is going to be a Ghostbusters III, he confirmed live on a country radio station, but Bill Murray isnt willing to do live action he is willing to do voice for a CGI based movie. What do you think CGI or NOT CGI

Heaven help…. Again?

I really wish they make up their minds….

Anyhow if this is true, I really don't know what to think of this. I'll go with whatever Kingpin or Cas have to say…

I took the liberty of adding in a ‘Undecided’ option because not everyone has worked out if they're one choice or another… or is willing to make a definate choice.

select part 2 of the interview he mentions like I said before that Bill Murray isnt up for live action and that CGI turns out to be cheaper for what hes wanting to do….

(My Opinion)

Ive said in a few sites like countingdown, that this is guaranteed to be a disaster, to go from 2 live actions to a cartoon aint gonna work the audience that they have to attract are not kids, I mean no offence to the kids how many kids are on this forum squeeling for a new one, its mainly 25 year olds like me or people a tad older like 70 lol, TMNT they are trying to compare but I just dont know, Harold Ramis i hope puts his foot down Ben Stiller even thou not great, is a better idea than a animated CGI, animated CGI when it comes to Ghostbusters should be serial based, not a feature length movie, i personally think this wont get of the ground, TMNT will be a flop and then Dan will be back to the drawing board. People talk about the age difference but cmon people we are all human we all get old, and to be honest it will add to the the nostalgia of before if they come on live, Bill Murray yeh he made Ghostbusters 1 in 2 he was a bit dire. If we got the Egon, the Ray, The Winston and Tully and maybe a new face then I am happy No For CGI

Why is it guarenteed to be a disaster? Sure, there were a lot of people who hated Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within but my recollection was that it didn't match any of the existing games… that said, show me two Final Fantasy games which have been directly related to one another and I may reevaluate my position… I haven't seen Final Fantasy: Advent Children yet so I can't comment.

CGI properties don't have to be ‘kiddy’ either, look at the aforementioned films, they were CGI but definately weren't targetted at kids… ReBoot also got quite mature near the end, despite being a series instead of films.

I'd dare say even Monster House was for a more mature audience then say, Toy Story.

You're right though, that the main target audience would be teenagers, people in their twenties, thirties and possibly forties.

I'd hope things would have to be terribly bad for Ben Stiller to be a last resort, he is not as perfect a choice as a lot of people think he is, I definately wouldn't say he's better then a possible CGI treatment.

Why will TMNT be a flop? It's being produced by a fan and seems have a reasonable quality of animation, even if the human designs take a bit to get used to.

I voted “Undecided” because it's impossible to make a fair judgement without seeing a finished product.

I do think a CGI Ghostbusters film could work but in my opinion the CGI would have to look as realistic as possible, the actors likenesses would have to be spot on and the original actors would have to voice their characters.

i went undecided, i would love to see a ghostbusters III, but i dont know if i'd like it in CGI, i'll have to wait untill i see the computer models for the Ghostbusters before i decide anything.

But, i'm thinking, wouldent it be weird if they released a box set with all 3 in, woulded it look a bit weird?

Oh, I loved The Spirits Within… I think it's main flaw was just being labelled as a ‘Final Fantasy’ film, take that out and I bet it wouldn't have been nearly as badly, and undeservedly panned as it was with the ‘Final Fantasy’ banner.
