You see… if I had internets, I would have posted “Sony to go with ‘Men in Black III’ over ‘Ghostbusters III’. We got burned by goddamn Will Smith again!”

Yeah I kinda noticed that as well, they really leaned towards MIB III other then GB3. Why is it so “shocking” that sony would bring on a third MIB? I would think that after all these years to bring Ghostbusters III to theators would be more of a surprise?

Im pretty sure, hearing from the Studio itself that its ready to produce the film is as official a confirmation as it gets.

Well, we know that they have employed two writers to come up with a script. There has also been talk from executive Rory Breur at the ShoWest tradeshow. It also seems that all of the original Ghostbusters ar up for it. However until we get official confirmation from Sony that the movie is definately going ahead we cannot be sure.

thats why i said, it can always be misinterpreted news. :-P
