In the first movie as the guys were walking out of the bank with the newly acquired loan to start their business, Pete Venkman said “The franchise rights alone will make us rich beyond our wildest dreams.”

So, that would tie the first and third movies together in a way :-)

I was aware of this already; Sinister explained that it was because he was trying to keep it closer to GB2, even though he personally doesn't well regard the idea either.

And hey, remember, I myself once wrote a story Clinically Insane, which conjectured them as getting married…though she of course realizes she's made a mistake and divorces his ass to go back to Egon…

(and yes, I know Matthew knows that already…just trying to establish context for those who don't)

not to sound like a jackass but tha by the sounds of it that would make a crap movie. it doesnt have the same spirit to it as the first 2 gb movies. i dont think you have any problems but if there is a third movie the script should be made by the same people as before because they have the thoughts that go with the same wave length as the first to.
