Ghostbusters: Legion was it any good?

And as for characterization, they did a pretty poor job there. Ray is depressed throughout the series. How is that keeping to his character?

I feel that was a sophistocated extension on Ray's character; he is still portrayed as excitable however he is also shown being extremely human and doubting himself. It would also be odd for him to be happy-go-lucky when his ex-friend who was hosptialised for trying to murder him has just escaped. Venkman and Egon were delightfully in character, with Venkman's little jokes and how serious Egon is (I loved the scenes between him and Janine).

agreed, the book was great.

Andrew Dabb is the guy who wrote it and I've wondered with IDW has contacted him for any more Ghostbuster work. As long as they don't get the other side guy.

Oy.

Yeah. The Other Side just felt off. Probably my least favorite Ghostbusters comics to date. After the second issue, I didn't even complete the series until about three weeks back.

As for Legion, overall I liked it. I didn't really care for it being set in 2004 but I really enjoyed the character work in it. The angle with Peter and Louis being jealous of one another, Janine desperately trying to get Egon's attention, and the little nods to RGB all worked for me. The one liners in the series were generally funny too.

I was probably more interested in that aspect, than I was Draverhaven and his plot to give New York back to the ghosts. But that part of it was good enough.

I ordered The Other Side t'other day, and now I find out no one likes it (;_ I was hoping it'd be on par with Legion because I enjoyed that so much.

To be fair, there were a few people who enjoyed “The Other Side”. Perhaps you'll be one of them–there's nothing to be lost from reading it for yourself and deciding for yourself whether you like it or not.

Fingers crossed! It's lovely liking things :-)

I ordered it ages ago and it still hasn't arrived…perhaps it's a sign…(*_*)

Well, I didn't really like the direction they took the story, but the same can be said for Extreme Ghostbusters. Some liked it, some didn't. Up to you, but it's not gonna kill you to read it.

I'd say that there's a heck of a lot more fans of Extreme Ghostbusters than fans of The Other Side.

Well yeah, but I was just saying it can be taken that way. Other side was a crappy story anyway, and hopefully the people who read it weren't new comers to the franchise.
