Hi All,
Very soon, you will see a new Ghostbusters Message Board. An evolution and the last thing to be unveiled before the relaunch of Ghostbusters.net.
I'm curious, what color schemes and ideas people had. Any and every idea, opinion, and statement will be taken seriously.

Too keep with the GB motif, I think a Red and White Color scheme would be cool. Definately need more or new GB emotes.
I do not know how hard (or annoying) this would be…but what about a Scrolling text bar above the Forum tables to display updates or Titles to new articles on GBN

More Emoticons like Gozer, Vigo, Louis and Dana.
On the image I made, on top of “The Ghostbusters Msg Board”, behind the “the”, why not an image of the top of spook central?
Replace the yellow sheet for a blue light, when there's a new message.
The “short blog news” is a link leading to the blog (of course), it will display one news after the other.

However as for the banner design… it's quite ugly… I understand why you had elements from the films as part of it… but the banner should be fairly clear to read, without too much going on around it… and I'm not sure what the blue outlines are all about.

Agree with you on that. The Gozer and Vigo in there is making things way to complicated. The bigger terror dogs don't help the situation any either.
It would be cool to see the GB1 Poster image on there somewhere. What would be cool actually, is if we had the option of choosing the message board styles, or look.

How about integrating the yellow and black “caution tape” like on the trap doors, and along the sides of Ecto-1A?
Other than that, I say less is more. Although something that looked like the Ghostbusters basement (with pipes and stuff running up the sides, and the Containment Unit near the top of the page) might look cool.

I made the concept in a minute or two. The images are only there to show where things should be placed.
We have the title, the cloud behind it, the ghostbusters under, and Vigo/Gozer on each side; I wanted Gozer and Vigo like if they were appearing trough the cloud, looking down at the fragile world of the living with an evil look; the terrordogs on each side represent the danger that surround this kind of job, they don't need to be that big and/or like that; the title should be smaller, in front of spook central or the temple, with the ghostbusters under it, looking up, prepared to anything; the white and red color represent a rear view of ecto1. Everything is supposed to look like if it came from one scene, while being the image of the movie; a bit like those StarWars poster :p (*winston)

I'm bumping this up for last call. Of course, things will be tweaked on an ongoing basis. I just want to make sure I gather all major input (design, functionality, features, etc) before the initial upgrade.
