Didn't see this anywhere else yet, my store got confirmation today that some GameStops will be doing a midnight release of Ghostbusters: The Video Game.
Since I know many people on this board have theirs pre-ordered at a 'Stop, you may want to check with yours to see if you can get it at midnight.

I went to the gamestop where I live and asked them about a midnight release for ghostbusters and the manager laughed and said ghostbusters no were not going to be open at midnight we are going to be open at midnight for prototype. I asked when are you going to have the game then the other employee said oh we will have it on the 17th.

The manager at the one by my house brought it up to me, he said that maybe they would if they got enough preorders………..kind of doubt it though.

prototypes gettin a midnight release? damn, did infamous get a midnight release? and so close now i can hardly wait, i havnt checked vids or reviews or nuffin yet i'm keepin it all secret for my own fun

My Gamestop said the same thing, if they have enough pre orders then they would have a midnight release, I asked him how many and he said around 80 copys on presale. They were also only giving out t-shirts I thought you got an avatar if you pre'd at tHe Stop.

Iv'e ordered mine thru Amazon.com. I'm also expecting mine the 18, 19, or the 20 of June. But no worries. That will give me time to watch the movies shortly before I play the game.

Believe me, no one was as surprised as me. We usually do midnight launches based on number of pre-orders, but they've been tracking the game pretty seriously in Nevada for the past few weeks. My store doesn't have even close to the amount of pre-orders usually required for a midnight release, so you may want to check back with your local store.
After the Nintendo and Sony presser I'll see if I can get a copy of the info from work and see if I can't find out if it's just our stores or not. I'd be surprised if it were….

The one I usually go to (That usually has midnight releases) said that he wished they were…but at the moment it doesn't look promising…
