The manager at mine said they would have it and its one of the only two in CA having it.

The only other GameStop in my area is in the mall, so its definitely not having a midnight release.

I'd just buy it at Walmart at midnight, but I want the pre-order bonuses. I've heard of a master code to unlock everything, but its not certain yet (or at least its not certain it will leak). Here's hoping I can still just get it on the 16th or early on the 17th. It just sucks cuz I don't know what day to take off of work.

Gamestops and EB suck.

They get paid about 6 bucks an hour and could really not care at all. Go to corporate if possible. I had to do that over 5 dollar reserve (I moved cities and they gave me BS about it) in order to fix it, they used a “Edge” card to put 5 bucks on, gave code to another employee of my city, and boom. There is it.

Its coming out before the 20th, stop going on!

You guys in the US are lucky, your still going to get it atleast a day or 2 before the people in the UK, i'm just hoping that play.com ships it early like they do sometimes so I get it on the 18th, but I could wait one more day for the UK release of the 19th.

Seriously, people saying go somewhere else, its just ridiculous, its still going to come out!

You've waited for it for over a year in some cases, so surely waitin 1,2 or 3 extra days isn't going to make you go mental (like in the demo release date thread)

I would like to note that isn't a GameStop/EB thing. Developers set the release date as the date the game is shipped to the distribution centers and if your store -no matter which it is- happens to be far away from that center, you have to expect it the next day. This isn't a new practice, and it's annoying as hell, but if you don't like it you need to move closer to a distro center.

Some places order so many copies of games that they get them sent straight to their stores, Wal-Mart is a good example of this most of the time. They can order hundreds of thousands of copies of anything, and since it doesn't matter to them wether it sells or not they get the perk of getting it directly most of the time.

Also, it turns out that most of the stores doing a midnight release are doing like a co-midnight with some fighting game, which is why not all stores are doing it. Pre-Order numbers seem in most cases to be more closely tied to both games as opposed to Ghostbusters on it's own.

Can't remember, I got my annual evaluation today, so I wasn't really paying attention to that part. But I'll try and find out tomorrow.

Also, the pre-order shirts came in. They're all the realistic version of the artwork, but are actually quite nice for a pre-order gift. Tags n' all.

Its kind of like two friends getting boxes of cereal, one box comes with a toy the other doesn't. The one friend that got the toy is excited, the one that didn't is envious.

If the one marked with a toy actually didn't have a toy in it, the one friend that had that box would be pissed and the friend would say “no big deal, I didn't get one either”.The friend would still be pissed cause it was advertised to have it.

Let us enjoy our toy that comes in our cereal box. :-)

I pre-ordered so I should get the t-shirt thats advertised on play.com (plain white with the ghostbusters logo)
