I just received my two minimates series 1 box sets!! They are awesome the GB are dead on and they exceeded my expectations. I ordered from Toyrocket for the first time since they had the cheapest prices online and since my local comic shops don't carry mates.

Got my minimate set from ToyRocket yesterday. I love 'em.



I've been messing around them with different poses and stuff (recreating both theatrical posters, etc.) and they're great.



The only problems I had was with getting Louis out of the Terror Dog (had to use pliers to get his head out), Egon's loose hand and Peter's loose head.

Oh and the proton packs are NOT removable. I found that out the hard way:

yeah the only thing i dont like is that the packs do not come off, but hey all i gotta do is find a minimate that looks like me, switch heads and bam, im a ghostbuster minimate. and you beat me to put doc browns head on one, dang it.

Got some news though: Looks like Ray won't be coming with the Ecto-goggles in the second set. DST's site lists that they come with traps. So I'm going to assume that the Toys R Us wave 2 Ray will have the goggles.

The part I had a problem with was Louis' legs; the solution was pliers (rounded tip so I didn't scratch anything), very careful wiggling and a bit of patience. I've dealt with something similar before in action figures (toys “sticking” to the blister pack) when the parts were put together before the figure inside was completely cured.

Of course, now that I got them out I can't get them in again.

Originally I was planning to get two sets; one to display and one for the collection. Now I'm sorely tempted to get more so I can customize stuff further…

U lucky dog, I only have like 5 minimates to work with. I'm happy were getting traps first. It will look good with slimer and the three for the hotel scene. I wonder if they will make the goggles able to fit the other gbs.
