*They all had their own charm…I guess you had to have grown up in the ‘80’s to appreciate them fully

I couldn't agree with this more. Fond memories of waking up early on weekends to play these games with my brother make them classics in my house.

*It seems to be a trend with current gamers, weither or not they were present during the 8-Bit, or 16-Bit eras respectively, to trash games from said era, on the basis that “they're so ugly compared to current-gen games and graphics”…I'm sorry - Comparing games from that era, to games today is outright unfair…The technology is LIGHTYEARS more sophisticated then games back then, and as a result - The stories in these games are as well…

That is not always true about gamers, at least not all of us. Even Angry Video Game Nerd states from time to time: “Believe me I am not basing my lectures off on the graphics, sound, and technology of that era, I am stating that for what you could get from the technology of that era there have been failures and successes. True failing games are games that didn't even try and are just so bad that they sucked back then as they do now. Yes, nostalgia aside.”

Some attack the stupid aspect of the game like how AVGN says “They spelled Congratulations!!! as conglaturation !!!”

It's not about technology of the era, but how the developer used that technology to create something that you can always play that is good and fun. I mean, why does Super Mario 3 look so good and fun to play, while games like Top Gun suck? They are both for the same system so it can;t be because of the graphics. It's mostly because some games just suck due to poor execution. Heck even some games today fall short due to poor execution, like BioShock. Yeah it is fun at first and the graphics are awesome, but the game just falls short due to some poor idea choices that keep it from being a 9/10 or even a 10/10.

Not really, the NES games were still full of fail and they continue to be full of fail to this day, same with the Sega Master System version, the only games that were not full of fail were the Genesis game and New Ghostbusters II.

LOL… I'm sorry, but the line that the “NES games are still full of fail to this day” is hilarious to me. Of course they are, its not like the PS3 and 360 where you can download a patch to fix errors. If they were “full of fail” back then, of course they are today. LOL.

Whatever, I just find it sad that out of all those games, two of them (one of which was PAL only) were good, that's bad, very bad.
