January 6th episode of The Simpsons significally mentioned Ghostbusters. The line on the show goes like this: Homer just met familys new councler, he is black and his name is Gaberial. Then Homer says “Are you an angel?” Then gaberial says “No I'm not an angel” Homer says “ Yes you are, you're an angel, just like Denzel Washington in The Preachers Wife, Will Smith in Bagger Vance, and Slimer in Ghostbusters.”

With this mentioning of them on The Simpsons and the Polar Lights Ecto-1 model releasiing in July its a good year so far for Ghostbusters
