Ok so i have been messing around in After Effects CS4 and this is what i got right now. Note still trying to get things right for it so its just a test.

Looks great! Just adjust the beam movement/size, and it will be THE BEST one I've seen…so far.(*peter)

Its looking pretty good. I think you need to make it more erratic and less predictable. The next thing I would suggest is to make the lighting follow its own path and make less erratic.

I agree. The third one looks the best with the more orange hue to it.
