Okay, so I am in a program at Chicago State University called the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge, an academic quiz-bowl thing with a heavy slant towards Black History, and I just got back yesterday from the National Tournament…I was watching the playoff rounds all day on Monday.

To make a long story short, during that day they were playing bits of songs to keep us happy while we waited. One of the songs they played was the remix of Bobby Brown's “On Our Own.” Even though we didn't make it up onto the stage, that moment made me happy.
