Wow thanks for the screens Batman2.

Hmmm…its supposed to be GB3,but those screens clearly show events from the first movie.

Theres gonna be 2 diffrent games…one as the third sequel and one as a standalone game?

Why does the no ghost logo have the ghost walking away?…strange…

I would say those screens are probably from Red Fly Studio version for Playstation 2, Wii and DS designed more for families and casual gamers.

The GB3 game which Ackroyd and Ramis are writing is what we can expect to appear on PC, 360 & PS3 from developer Terminal Reality.

I'm so excited for this I can't contain myself.

“Who's Vivendi Games and Sony Pictures gonna call? The Ghostbusters.

The game company and film firm are partnering on a new GHOSTBUSTERS videogame, featuring the voices and likenesses of the original stars Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and Harold Ramis, VARIETY reports. Vivendi's Sierra Ent. plans to release the first title in a potential franchise in fall 2008.

Other original cast members to sign on to the project are William Atherton, Brian Doyle Murray and Annie Potts. Moreover, Aykroyd and Ramis will write the script, which will be set in the early ‘90s, following the events of the film GHOSTBUSTERS II.

The title will be developed by Terminal Reality for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Red Fly Studios is developing versions for PlayStation 2, Wii and DS.”

I hope Rick Moranis will be in it. I have some friends working on it. I just hope they don’t “cheapen” out the Wii version. The controls seem like they'd be a perfect natural for this type of game. I know the graphics will be downplayed a bit, but I hope the gameplay's the same and intact.

So are they going to be completely different games, or the same game, just ported by another company?

Won't all story versions be written by Ackroyd/Ramis? I haven't heard of any lack of involvement. Or I'm getting two versions of this game if they are.

I would say there are at least 2 different versions in production, as I have bought a PS3 a couple of months ago I will get both versions as my PS3 is backwards compatible and can play PS2 games as well. Also I might be tempted to get a Wii if the game is as fun as I can imagine it to be with the Wii mote.

If one version is based on the original film then there is nothing much to write as it has all been done already, only GB3 needs the masters touch.

I'm going to try and get at least confirmation on that aspect. I just think it would be poor if they did that to the Wii version. PS2 I can understand, but Wii is a current and popular system, and stands a real chance of having the best control scheme if done properly.

I'm going to be really mad if they “cheapen” that version. That's going to be a real slap in the face if they do.

Batman, I bet that logo isn't actually the official one… I've noticed a couple of off-model logos used not only by online articles, but even on the front cover of Game Informer itself.

I think for now, chalk it up as a fan logo until we see something similar to in in the game material.

It's really quite funny seeing the Kotaku article that logo came from, and one response saying they doubt any of the other cast members would be there for the motion capture. :p

Does anybody know where you can buy that Game Informer magazine from in the UK…? or online…?

I think your right Kingpin, loads of fake GB3 logo's on the net.

At the moment I figure I'll be getting my copy on eBay, some advanced Google searching may reveal a UK retailer for Games Informer
