Ghostbusters Sequel Coming in Video Game Form

I posted this elsewhere, but is the game a NEW story? The shots, movies etc we have is of GB1, in new video game form. I am ALL for that, but I hope they have a new story in there. I guess why it is a year away I guess? I would love the game to encompass GB1, GB2, and then a new story to wrap it up.

Yes, it is. The appearances of Slimer, the Library Ghost and Stay Puft are brought on as part of the chaos being created by the new big bad.

The game is set in 1991.

Ahh i cant wait for this game to come out!! The only problem I have is that you play as a new ghostbuster and not as one of the original members, which seems kinda lame in my view.

I also pray that their will be co-op story mode…there has to be 2 players for this game

Honestly? I never liked the Ghostbusters in hell idea.

I also had a few reservations. At the time (this was almost 10 years ago), I was afraid the script / idea was too focused on the supernatural aspect (much like Dan's initial script) and lacked a balance.

Following that assumption, I was afraid the project was being rejected because the project was taking many risks outside of the normal Ghostbusters franchise.

Everything I've seen / heard about the game looks great and seems to be more on an keel with the franchise (as the comics were).

After reading my issue of Game Informer, Ghostbusters is incredible. Slimer, Stay Puff, and others are just “coming back” when the new threat comes into play. So all new story. I liked how you get to go back and bag the library ghost and such. This game will be incredible.
