I've been posting over on GB Fans and Proptopia, so if you're already members over there this is nothing new. If not, then I give you our fanfilm, GHOSTBUSTERS SLC!

This will be a thirty minute fan film based on the Ghostbusters of Salt Lake City. This is NOT a start up movie. This team is already in business and doing what they do, even if they don't do it particularly well. Our goal has been to make a short film that has a Real Ghostbusters feel but with the realism and fright factor of the original movie.

With the release date set in May, this film will soon be available via Youtube and other vid websites. We hope to be able to bring a good addition to the fan film genre and give fans another brief view into the Ghostbusters universe. But we don't want you to receive any vain, empty promises. Let our work speak for itself. Here is a collection of images as well as our two teaser trailers currently available for viewing.

Great trailer. I look forward to seeing the series in full.

Having said that, though, there was only one misstep in that trailer, and that was the scene where one of the GBs accidentally fires the Nutrona Wand, bringing part of the ceiling down on the other guy. Rule of Funny, I know, but it's not something you want to do if you're trying to establish how dangerous the Proton Packs are.

Thanks Nix. I can see what you're saying. The first teaser was supposed to establish the “reality” of the proton pack, while the second teaser was supposed to bring a taste of the comedy and special FX that we will be using.

GBStuff, I completely agree. We actually attempted to do a fanfilm a couple of years ago and the script was the BIGGEST problem. How to be entertaining and funny, while still developing the characters.

That's one of the main reasons that this episode's runtime is 30 minutes. I figured, it worked for Freddy vs Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters 911 as well as the RGB episodes. (Bloodlines was shorter, but I'm personally still hoping for more episodes from them. Great guys there!) If there's anything we can do to help your film, just let us know. I feel it's a tuff area, GB FanFilms. But I love it! I still get such a kick seeing the proton streams!

Hey everyone! Thanks for those who tuned in to the radio broadcast. It was really a blast!
If you missed the broadcast, there are some important announcements that you missed.

1. The official release date will be May 1. (We're hoping for 2010 )

2. We will be giving away a copy of the official DVD to every Ghostbusters Organization that is actively participating in charity events and has photo documentation of such. The purpose is to have something to show to people at charity events in addition to the classic films and cartoon series.

Kingpin, thanks for the heads up mate. I'll look into that. Has anyone else been having trouble viewing the images? If so, I'll need to do a whole MESS of updating!

Great looking stuff guys. Can't wait to see the final product.

I like how in the screenshots it showed the trap hanging on the side of the Pack. It's just like you said, a throwback to the RGB episodes. Nice touch.
