At present, Diamond's web site shows Tained Love slated to be released February 17th. The list won't be finalized until next Monday, though.

The 24th seems to be the day for the book. Graham Cracker's e-mail doesn't list it and the Diamond listing for upcoming book is gone.

Hey guys, Dara here. I just found out the scoop on this books erratic ship date. Apparently what made it miss the original ship date for the week of Valentines Day is that it got held up in customs. But heres where the story takes a tragic twist: it is officially hitting stores this week (17th), except for most of the East coast. The truck from Diamond Distributors that had all of IDWs books on it for the East coast stores was involved in a very bad weather-related accident. My understanding is that the driver(s) are in critical condition in the hospital.
So needless to say, its a very unfortunate event and I hope that everyone involved pulls through and makes a full recovery.

I've never quite understood how customs came into it, are the books getting printed outside of the United States?
It's unfortunate news in regards to the driver(s), hopefully things will come out okay in that regard.

Diamond has the book back on this week's list.
I wonder if that was the same accident that happened at the beginning of the month? Marvel reported a distribution truck that got into an accident but no word on the driver(s).
If custom's gets involved, it could mean where the book was printed. I checked one of my IDW book's and it was printed in Korea. I've seen other books from Dark Horse, Image, Marvel, etc list the book was printed in Canada, China, so forth. It usually tends to come down to paper/printing costs.

Newsarama just posted a preview of Tainted Love. Unfortunately, they're not the highest quality scans of Salgood Sam's artwork, but you get the idea. They also have the 2 different variant covers by artist Nick Runge (for a better look at those, you can check out my blog entry here).
