Does the IDW GB comics had that success to make it trade paperback?

A lot of comics actually make more of their money on trade paperback sales nowadays. Just like many movies can do so-so or bomb at the theatres and make it up on DVD sales, comics can make it up with TPB sales. In part, I guess, because while individual comic issues are barely sold anymore except comic stores anymore, trade paperbacks are sold in book stores. And there's a lot more book stores than there are comic specialty shops.

Doc Fritz is right, but I think its more for Marvel and DC, although Ghostbusters is still pretty popular.

I wouldn't say so… if you can find the individual issues I'd suggest reading them before buying the more expensive trade paperback. The story didn't live up to the hype, had a rather predictable and uninspired resolution and was written by someone who just didn't get the characters. The art was okay, but nothing special to write home about.

Agreed! I have the paperback and I'm currently stuck half way through because I can't really be bothered reading more at the moment. With Legion, I couldn't put it down but this is unremarkable.

I am glad I own it though, to support the GB franchise.

I would at the very least see if you can find a “scanalation” of it…so you can at the very least…read it and make your own judgement.

Or if you own an Ipod Touch or Iphone you can get them for a dollar a piece which is far cheaper than buying paperback
