Ghostbusters The Video Game 2

I think we're confused on what we're discussing here.

Like the thread title says, I'm considering Rick's (and thus Louis') involvement in a potential “Ghostbusters: The Video Game 2”.

Judging by your response, you seem to be talking about adding Louis in some DLC content for THIS game.

Is that correct, or did I just confuse myself even more?

I would very much like another game, and I think Louis is a character I could do without.

The “out sick” touch was nice.

I also don't think Louis is that important as a ghostbuster. The character he was awesome, as a ghostbuster didn't really do anything. We got enough ghostbusters in the game, including two bonus best buy characters (damn wish I got the ghoul costume), we really don't need Louis, especially since he was more of a gag character. What are they going to do, make him fly back everytime he shoots the proton gun?

Also, they do speak on multiplayer if no one has a mic.

Yes, DLC in current game. That is what I meant. We were talking about, and I commented on the first page I think, that there is no need for a second game at this point as DLC for the first game will extend what we have. Now for Louis in the second game, I AGREE with you that without Rick acting, then no go.

The video game kind of implies that he hasn't really busted since the movie too. The uniform is hanging there (with “Spengler” on it, which shows he doesn't have his own uniform). But he still has a desk, that has lots of paperwork on it, which I assumed to just be accounting stuff.

Actually, his jumpsuit says “Tully”.

As for DLC, well, I don't know, so I'll just throw down some dreams that I would never expect to happen but are fun to think of, such as multiplayer maps based on the 2 films. I could see 2 more campaigns that take place across 4 lvls from the each film. Heck, one could even throw the Scoleri Bros. as most wanted ghosts in a courtroom lvl. Beyond that, well, I'm in the “would love RGB player models” camp.

You know what they could do. If they couldn't get Rick to do the voice over if they were gonna say add him to the next game if it happens they could try to get someone who sounds like him like they did for the Scarface game. Now it may not have been Al Pacino doing the voice for the game, the guy who did the voice over kicked some ass doing it.

Yeah, that may not be a bad idea.

well whos to say they didnt record voices already for add on stuff. I hate to say this because I hate to compare gta 4 and gb but i can see gb pulling a dlc like the lost and the damned like gta 4. you go to L.A. or Chicago open up your own business and you take control hiring/firing and and go bust some ghosts to earn money to pay back the loan the original gbs give you (financing is avalible)

After 1st game's ending how about a Ghostbusters MMO. Something like “Ghostbusters the Franchise edition” Guilds can work as groups. E.g this site might do a “ghostbusters.net” franchise.

Levelling up gets you new weapons and parts so your group can customise your “ecto-1” type car to transport group. Include weapons and gadgets from real ghostbusters and extreme. Go out and bust random ghosts and of course missions that have story linked to said group.

it'd need tweaking ect.. but it could be a very fun MMO for PS3 and Pc (as I assume sony online would deal with it like they are dc universe.)

I think that DLC or even an all new game following the same strategy as GTA would work. GTA3 was in Liberty City, then there was San Andreas and Vice City, which occurred in different cities. We didn't get back to Liberty City until GTA4. So maybe the same thing could happen here. We could have Ghostbusters: Franchise Edition where the rookie is starting his own franchise and other actors, maybe some originals, like Aykroyd appear in the game in helping you build your franchise while battling a major paranormal event in another city. Then , 2 or 3 years from now, they could make a “true sequel” to Ghostbusters: the Video Game involving all the original talent once again.
