I think he means the original Ghostbusters game on the NES, it wasn't that bad.
Completely disagree, it's terrible. Ghostbusters for the Commodore64 is the closest thing to a decent game the franchise has ever had (the European *NEW* Ghostbusters 2 was also pretty decent).

I'm really excited about the new game, but I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic. I've waited a long time to play something ‘Ghostbusters’ with this quality… even tried to do it myself… so this might be one of my first actual game purchases in a long time.

*My favorite oldschool iteration of David Crane's GB1 game will always be the Sega Master System port honestly (*peter)…

*And also good were “Extreme Ghostbusters: Code Ecto-1”, the Genesis game obviously, and as you mentioned - The Hal Labratory GBII games were excellent as well…Not to mention the Amiga/Atari St ports of GBII…

*So it wasn't all duds…

*Cheers.

Ghostbusters II on Game Boy is still my favorite GB video game… so far.
