Ghostbusters theme song question

Im sure that most of the people on the board know about the Special UK extended remix version of Ghostbusters. My question about it is, is it just a longer version of the Original Ghostbusters song or is there a shorter UK remix out there that no one has put up online? Just something ive been wondering about since i saw how the song was labeled.

It's very similar to the original from what I recall (I haven't listened to it in awhile). “Remix” in 1984 terms was a lot different from what we consider a remix these days, which often sounds like a whole different song.

Imagine the original song with bridges added and lengthened. You get to hear more from the instruments, as they do mini solos, but nothing whacky or extreme stuck in my head.

Hey hey hey! Why is it this version is called the “UK version”? It's a remix of “Ghostbusters Extended” from the Chartbusters album. This album was released in European countries, such as Germany, where I got my copy.

It's a version made by Ray Parker Jr himself as far as I can tell from the back side of the LP, so why call it “UK version”? Sure, I do too, since that's how it's been labeled on the Net.

If you want to listen to it, please visit my site http://www.egon.spengler.as and pick “Sounds”. I've got almost a hundred GB songs at the moment, if I may mention it, not including the album songs.

I'd really like to hear the Ghostbusters Theme mixed into a beat that someone could do a completely different song to today.
