UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FLORIDA GHOSTBUSTERS LIVE ACTION SHOW MANUAL - the actual book used by the creators to build and maintain the classic show. This is a full sized manual that contains every scrap of information needed to create the show. Inside this giant tome (the manual, not Tobin's Spirit Guide) you'll be amazed at all the information.

The book contains:

* The entire script for the original show that featured a female host being menaced by Slimer and Gozer and ultimately saved by the boys in blue.
* Fully drawn storyboards for the show from start to finish.
* Full set design with a color sheet of sample colors and a FULL COLOR photo of the painting of the show in action (it's gorgeous).
* Full color photos of the original renderings of all the ghosts in the show plus their special effect needs to make them come to life. This is the best section as the pictures are amazing and the variety of ghosts really stand out. The Terror Dog photo is of the movie miniature. The Stay-Puft is of the suit on the set of the film. The rest look to be photos of pastel on black to really make them appear as ghosts. You'll get shots of Slimer (referred to as The Green Gobbler), Taxi Cab Driver, Drunk, Jack Hammer, Jailbird, Bag Lady, Killer Jack-In-The-Box, Horny Beast, Ban-She, Winged Gargoyle, Dragon Thing and Three Headed Demon. (I'm on the West Coast and never saw the show so I do not know which of these ghosts never made it into the show. I looked on youtube but the cameraman doesn't get all the ghosts in the shot).
* Complete listing of Show Audio Equipment,
* Complete listing of Special Effects
* Complete Audio listing
* Complete lighting
* Complete show control
* A late 1980's early 1990's production schedule
* A Personnel section - one page only, it says the personnel will be coming later
* Contact sheet at the end.

Everything is dated 1988 so this looks to be a pre-production book meant to aid in the construction. Again, I have never seen the show so I cannot verify what made it into the show and what was cut. There are a lot of ghost designs in the book so I'm sure they did not all make it to the stage. There are no shots of the Proton packs or any of the ghostbusters equipment but there are some fascinating drawings of the Marshmallow Man's head that show all the mechanics inside and what they expected the head to do.

This is a fascinating item for any Ghostbusters fan that will surely be the centerpiece of any collection. There's enough material in here to keep a fan enthralled for hours. BONUS - ALSO INCLUDES a 16 Page set of copies of preliminary ghost drawings for the attractions with most having never made it past the planning stages.

Congratulations Lanny, you're one of the few people I'd want to successfully win stuff like that.

Goodluck in getting it, mate.

I wanted to bid on it but I don't get paid until next week. So I wouldn't of had the money until then. Good luck on paying it off.

Yikes….quite the bid, man.

I must say: you should feel obligated to provide the contents to AJ for GBFans. It'd make for some really cool additions.

*Don't worry - That was the main reason I bid - To distribute it to the community :p (*peter) …I wasn't about to let it slip into the hands of a stingy “private collector”…

*I'm hoping my tax return will cover it…Which should be in the order of $800+…So it's just a matter of getting the thing processed …

*Cheers.
