I think they're fantastic, I'm always reminded of Ghostbusters when I play Metal Slug 2 because of the “Laser” weapon. Makes me laugh every time.

Where did you find those images
It's from the rgb boardgame. Most of the classic ghosts came from there I think… or is the boardgame a wink to some gb artists.
A lot of ghosts in the rgb colorbook were already in the boardgame.

I kinda like the cartoonish style when going for detail…makes it more recognizable.
Here's an excellent idea–I'd really like to see someone do a computerized version of the Real Ghostbusters board game, if only because mine's fallen to pieces!
Some of your sprites would really “fit the bill” for the necessary effect.
