Ghostbusters vs Zombies

I just completed my second ghostbusters fan film based off the video game. This is basically my sequal to the first game. I know some of you will dislike this film, a good portion of it is things I cut from “my” ghostbusters 3 that I released a few months ago. The entire thing is complete, but for now you will have to settle for the trailor

Thank you!!! Finally some positive feedback from this community, hell feedback period. When I did my first ghostbusters project I recieved quite a bit of flack, which I didn't really understand, cause all I tried to do was take the video game and present it as enertaining and cohesive as possiable. For this film I wanted to take the next step and tell my own original story and give the rookie a voice and personality of his own. Basically this film is the rookie's story as a ghostbuster. I know the whole zombie thing is so over done right now, but I thought it was the only thing I could do with the footage I had, and make it interesting. Thanks again, and I'm really glad that you enjoyed it!!!

glad to hear that you guys enjoyed it. I wish my youtube views for it were a little higher, but alas. I think many don't know how to take it, just like they didn't know how to take the GB3 I put together. Well to those that enjoyed it, tell a friend, and I can put them on dvd if anyone is intrested.

Not to inflate my own ego but IMO my two Ghostbuster films are vastly superior to anyother fan made ghostbuster films that I have seen. Mostly because the real charecters are in them, but Ghostbusters Left4Dead as a stand alone film, I feel is the most enertaining and creative GB fanfilm available. Don't get me wrong I really enjoyed Return of the Ghostbusters and Freddy vs the Ghostbusters, but you guys gotta admit Ghostbusters Left4Dead is pretty damn good!!!!

I can't, and won't.
I was doing my best to pass this by, but the three separate bits of self-praise really are a bit much. You may “have the Ghostbusters” in your edited together movie, but that and crossing it over with Left 4 Dead doesn't automatically make it good. I'm glad you put the disclaimer of “in my own opinion” before the first bits, as this film definitely isn't better than Return of the Ghostbusters and a number of the other well-known live-action fanfilms.

For a critique, it seems little more to be a re-edited playthrough of Ghostbusters: The Videogame with Left 4 Dead, with your voice dubbed over it in a rather poor quality monologue.

I love how you conviently left out the fact that it is just YOUR OPIONION that the live action films are better. Yes it is only my opinion, but some of the other members of this board seem to have enjoyed them, so I don't really care to have your approval or not.

The reason I feel that my film, yes my film, is better than the better known live action ones is because they suffer from poor acting, poor writing, and poor charecter development. Whil I do think they did an excellent job with their special effects, and made them mildly enertaining, you give them far too much credit. And like it or not it isn't just me simply editing together a couple of video games then presenting them as it my own work. Yes I did write a story, and yes I did develope the rookie charecter into an actual personality. If it is just so easy to do as you say it is, why haven't you or anyone else attempted this before?

I imagine nobody did it before you because they didn't see the point of it. I imagine nobody felt the next to expand on the Rookie because he was a character that was only going to show up in the games, and there's the fact there wasn't really anything to expand on to begin with as he was a vessel for the player.
