Okay, seriously though… In ages past, “The Watcher” was an account that was free to use by the Moderation Staff, the idea being to present a posting identity with no specific ties of friendship to any existing member of the board. The point of this was to let the Moderators could feel they could Moderate without having to bring personal feelings of friendship into the matter. It's difficult to have to Moderate someone's comments when you're a friend, and not everyone sees it the same way, so the account was created.
It did get used a fair bit over time, but nowadays it's something that doesn't get utilised.
And no, he wasn't gay.
So, the Watcher was the Doctor all along…

The Watcher wasn't GAY!…..not that there's anything wrong with that. :p
I remember the profile pic I made for the Watcher. We always tried to be a very imposing “character” to try and strike fear into the hearts of users(ok not really that far). I did like the anonymous nature as a lot of people have said. haha here's the pic.
His old signature used to have the Terror Dog in Louis' closet on it.

I remember being on Bill's board when there were rumors of Will Smith and Chris Farley being the new Ghostbusters recruits and then he died. (;_
Also being on the board when EGB was coming out but I didn't get it in my area but luckily my aunt in North Carolina recorded it for me and sent me tapes in the mail after awhile. :-) Luckily the toys were available here locally.
