Audacity's the one we got, our transfer setup was a turntable with a set of cables that could be plugged into a laptop, and that audio program.

Hey not bad that audacity, but is it me or the program creates static sound. I thought it was dust in my cassette player. It's when I had the idea of editing one mp3 that I was surprised by the result. I played with the volume, equaliser, etc, I've even bought a new cable.

I was able to record one cassette correctly at least before that.

By the way, I don't recommend radioshack, my cable was 15 to 20$ there.
Another place was 8$. Walmart had one for 5$. But I took mine for 4$ in a computer store for the same quality.
