Greetings everyone.
Bladex_2004 has proposed a challenge of his own. Am I safe in assuming everyone knows what the ‘three finger’ Ghostbusters logo is?
No?
Fine…
Okay, we up to speed now? Good.
Anyway,
Bladex_2004, myself and a few others have been thinking. We're tired to death of seeing that logo plastered across every ‘GB3’ fan project from England to New England and to Timbucktuu. We'd like you to design a fresh new concept, by the fans for the fans.
There's no prize other than bragging rights, so only enter in this if you wish to.
As with everyone of these… there are a few guidelines:
1) There's no time limit on this, so you have as much time as you need. But if you enter please try to start and finish a design within a reasonable period.
Definition: A ‘reasonable period’ is short then a year, folks. :p
2) Designs that are gonna be entered should be original and unique. We realise creating a new design isn't easy, but it's part of the challenge. Entries using the ‘three finger’ logo, or a variation of it aren't wanted.
We also don't want to see copies of the following designs:
Which was either made, or is certainly used by
Castewar.
Which was created by
Fixer.
This is a tight-knit community, so if artwork has been stolen for a submission we will know and inform the parties swiftly.
3) Entries must be ‘work safe’, nothing pornographic… nothing you wouldn't expect from a normal commercial logo. Think of it as being your entry if Sony were asking you to design a logo.
No, they might deserve it… but we don't want logos flipping the bird at Sony. :p
4) The logos here are for fans to use, whether they be films, fiction or miscellaneous. Don't enter a logo if you don't want it used on a wide range.
Small note If you're gonna use one of the entries here, then please give credit to the creator.End Note
If you are entering it for public use, please ensure it is a reasonable size and resolution for use in various material.
Use that for a good guide, scale it so the red circle of the logo is around the size of the CD.
If you're using Photoshop, please include a link to a copy of the logo set on a transparent background so the logo can be easily incorporated into other designs.
5)Be as artistic and imaginative as you can (within reason) we want to see some unique logos.
6)There's no real policy on effects, like adding shading or glows… but please… no ‘bling bling’ logos. :p
I think that's it, if there are any questions field them here.
Happy logo-ing.
