Half the thanks should go to Chris (Ecto-1), he helped refine the idea.

But glad you enjoyed it.

Commemorating and celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Real Ghostbusters, I present for your enjoyment…

Ghostbusters.nuts - Issue 35: It was 20 Years ago today

The Real Ghostbusters, celebrating 20 years of capturing the paranormal

Just shy of eight months after I was born (January 20th, 1986) on September 13th, 1986 the first episode of what would become one of the most well known cartoons of all time aired.

The first episode of The Real Ghostbusters had been released for public consumption, and it would be one of a total of 140 episodes spanning six seasons.

The show had it's ups and downs, but it's initial run created some of the strongest and most unique characters that would live on through the community long after the show left the air.

Helming the project, was producer J. Michael Straczynski who would go on to create Babylon 5 and work on several of MARVEL's comic titles. Beside acting as the overseeing show producer, he also created some of the most memorable episodes to date.

The vocal cast comprised of:

Lorenzo Music, who would also be voicing Garfield the cat.
Frank Welker, a man who had already built a career on funny voices including roles such as Megatron and Fred Jones from Scooby Doo
Maurice LaMarche, another vocal actor who would later voices memorable characters like Brain from Warner's Pinky and the Brain
Arsenio Hall, talk show host and future co-star of Marshal Law
Laura Summer, a vocal actress who has extensive work on the Digimon series.

The show helped to create a phenominum and to reinforce the fact that Ghostbusters was one of the biggest crazes of the 1980s, and that 20 years down the line there are fans who love the show as much now as they did then and that there are still people professing their love for this cartoon.

A perfect slice of the 1980s.

Clavet is public enemy #1. Maybe Dog the bounty hunter can bring him to justice (if Dog himself isn't serving time in Mexico). :p
