Caught some previews of this and it's looking pretty bad ass!! Characters are still recognizable with that anime polish (akin to Batman: Gotham Knight or such) and so far in the span of five minutes, two main characters from the series kick the bucket. Snake-eyes is once again is bad-ass ninja.

Damn, with the upcoming GI Joe movie coming up along with this one-hour special, it has restarted my fondness for GI Joe. From what I heard, it's like 24 with those guys and slick animated fight scenes. Now, I really wish for a RGB special made by this same company.

At first glance it reminds me of a more serious looking version of Sigma 6 with more classic Joe elements added it…but that is just at first glance.

At least they didn't make Cobra Commander sound like a bumbling raving lunatic like in the old series and more a menacing threat like he should be.

Blasphemer! No one could shout “Cobra retreeeeeeeat!!!” (or “Decepticons retreeeeeeeat!!!”) better than Chris Latta (RIP).:-)

I miss Chris Latta but not as Cobra Commander. He was the best Starscream however.
