He was just implying I am assuming that you cannot compare the looks and the events in this movie to the normal Star Trek universe since it's out of continuity in it's on alternative timeline

I know, I'm just wondering where people are getting this alternate timeline jazz from, not like it matters since I'm kinda depressed now giving the news about the GB game. Sony, pft.

It hasn't been out and out stated officially as far as I'm aware, but there's just too much drastically different for it to be easily inserted into the existing Star Trek timeline in my mind.

It's its own continuity if you ask me.

Well, that makes sense to me actually, cause I don't think alot of fans are going to consider this canon giving that there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to many differences with the actual TOS.

It's just like Transformers back in ‘07, that can’t take place in the established continuity and has to be given its own because of how different it is to the 80s cartoon.

It was definately a surprise…better than I thought it was going to be but I haven't finished nitpicking the plot yet
