Unless there's a new animated show (that would rock!) or a new movie, I don't know where GB can go. It'll just fade away with age…

But if the TMNT can be revitalized, why not GBs?

The GB comic will be fine. Stop wetting yourself that it won't happen.

First off, the comic is obviously not fine if they can't get it out on a reasonable schedule.

Second, I'm talking bigger than the comic. Ghostbusters needs some more mainstream exposure soon or it may start to fade from the public consciousness.

And kindly remove your attitude when talking to me.

My God….

I despise you new people. Yes, those of you with less than a hundred posts and have joined within the last six months to a year.

::EDIT:: With the exception of Peter Randall. Kid's got a good head on his shoulders. You're a smart guy, Pete. Were you here before?

All of you, every single one of you, you are taking the new comic for granted and are practically oging out of your skulls due to the long wait times. I mean, Jesus Christ!! You guys are more paranoid than the Lone Gunmen on pot!!

Now, I apologize if I'm pulling a Bo here, but you really do need to shut the hell up. The Comic Is FINE. There is NOTHING to worry about. Go back to your homes and live a sheltered life.

I swear, you guys need some old-school posters to come down on you like a ton of bricks.

You're all so friggin' negative all the time. Can't you guys leave well enough alone?!

To Any Mod: The next time someone bitches and moans about “Oh, God, we're not gonna have a comic anymore because small companies suck!!”…please, for the love of all that is decent and holy, remove the posts or give them a suitable warning.

Or maybe all you newbies ought to go make your own board.

Or perhaps it'd be easier if there was a big, honkin' FAQ at the top of every board.

…yeah, I like that idea better, the FAQ one.

But, come on!! The comic is FINE. The guys are FINE. The comic will come out when it comes out. Granted, it may be a bit later than we would want, but it'll happen.

Quit bitching.

Now, again, I do apologize for this, but I've only had four hours of sleep, and I've had a falling-out with my best friend, AND, I've been subsequently fired from Nightsquad (for reasons best left unsaid).

Thank you, and good night.

Day.

What-f*cking-ever.

Is this even addressed to me, since I don't fall into your criteria.

Comic is fine? Nothing to worry about? Then where is it? Why is it over a year behind schedule?

The book sheds readers with every late issue.

Yeah, I was here before, then this place went kaplooey, so I went to GBHQ, so I came back when GBHQ went down. I'll stick around this time.

And for Captain Nate, I didn't really think I was giving you ‘attitude’, I was just trying to tell you to calm down in a mildly humourous way. The comic will be out, just give them time. Unless you'd like a comic with unfinished pages which comes out on time?

No, I'd like a comic on time, when scheduled, with quality worth paying for. As do casual comic book readers who will make or break this book. Every late issue that you're willing to tolerate, ten people might give up.

One of Marvel's top books is the Ultimates, and even Mark Millar (writer/creator) acknowledged they lost a lot of potential sales due to lateness. And that's FRIGGIN MARVEL, not an indie company where every sale matters.

Yeah, Nate, this is addressed to you, as well as the dozens of other nay-sayers on the boards. You're a comic-basher. If you were on GBHQ, you were part of the problem that drove Sebastian away.

“The book sheds readers with every late issue.”

Are you sure? Are you absolutely friggin' positive? ‘Cos, seems to me, with every issue that came out, a lot of people who loved GB (and were’nt on the boards) picked up more and more copies.

Personally, I think the wait is a good thing. Builds up tension for the new series so every single one of us –that actually love and appreaciate what the 88mph crew does– will attack the new issues like the rabid fanboys (and girls) that we are.

We are the ones who are on top of every new issue the single second it's put out on the shelves.

Also, more mainstream exposure? In case you haven't noticed, Wizard Magazine has been steadily ramping up their exposure on the GB comic since two issues ago. It started with the GB logo incentive cover in their “Top 10 Best Covers of the Month” last year, and for the last two issues, which dealt with publishing independent comics, they've talked with the heads at 88mph. Most noticeably, they mention Ghostbusters in great length and detail.

So, yeah, there's your exposure.

So, again, the comic is fine. And, if the comic is late, the comic is late. There is nothing we can do (short of ordering at least fifty copies apiece) to change this. And if people like you keep on being negative, then you'll have your wish. There will be no more comic because I highly doubt that the 88mph crew wants to do something nice for an unappreciative fan base.

So, change your attitude.

Yeah, Nate, this is addressed to you,

Funny, since I'm not “new” at all.

as well as the dozens of other nay-sayers on the boards. You're a comic-basher.

I love comics, I don't bash them. I've praised every single issue of Ghostbusters and have done a ton to promote it. So, with all due respect, you have no idea what you're talking about.

“The book sheds readers with every late issue.”

Are you sure? Are you absolutely friggin' positive?

Yes. I have to deal with people thinking the book is cancelled, I've had to try and convince people not to give up due to lateness, and we have seen sales decline.

Personally, I think the wait is a good thing.

That's ridiculous. Absolutely unsubstantiated by the reality of the comic book market.

Builds up tension for the new series so every single one of us –that actually love and appreaciate what the 88mph crew does– will attack the new issues like the rabid fanboys (and girls) that we are.

Guess what? Us fanboys who are willing to wait aren't going to make or break this book – it's the casual readers who WILL give up that will determine if the book fails.

Also, more mainstream exposure? In case you haven't noticed, Wizard Magazine has been steadily ramping up their exposure on the GB comic since two issues ago.

First off, I don't read Wizard, but I'm talking MAINSTREAM exposure – as in Television, movies, books etc – not comic book media. I was saying Ghostbusters should launch a new animated series soon, something to get it back in front of the regular public
