probably because people already have their own homemade dvd or VHS of the movie. I'm guessing though. (^_^)

I'll just itterate, a comic can't be late if there wasn't a release date issued for it.

Um, the mini was meant to be monthly starting early last year and it was never on time. The ongoing was solicited to be released, but it doesn't look like it'll be coming out as promised.

I joke about the late DVD with my friends (20th's anniversary coming out at the age of 21), but we were never given a release date for the DVD and were told from the start it would be late for the anniversary. But the late DVD isn't going to affect any future GB releases, whereas the late comic is killing its chances for success.

Ghostbusters WAS solicited, it was paid for by some and still has not arrived and has never arrived on time and, as a result, sales have suffered. And if Sebastian were here, I think he wouldn't try claim otherwise.

Furthermore, my complaints should not be registered as a complaint against the quality of the comic. I love it. I have done everything in my power to promote it, locally AND on the internet. But it's next to impossible to suggest a book to someone when I can't tell them when it'll be out, if ever! So this is part of my frustrating I'm venting at my inability to help 88MPH because they won't help themselves.

Case-in-point: I send people to 88MPH's website for more info…and what do they see? “Test” – that's it. No explaination for their product, no welcome, nothing to instill confidence that the book is even coming out. And it has been that way for a while now.

Well, as just a casual observer…

88mph is a small company that's seems to care a lot about their licenses and their audience. When you combine these factors you get projects that take a lot longer to complete (take it from an artist whose a perfectionist and obsessive detail freak).

I believe that most of 88's attention is currently aimed at the release of the hardback, but.. work on the hardback is going to take a while. For those of us who receive 88's newsletters, we know that 88 has requested that their readers e-mail them about errors they found while reading the mini-series. Collecting these emails, cataloging the errors listed, and then fixing said errors is going to take a while.

Frankly, I feel that they can take as long as they want provided that their goal is a quality product. Ghostbusters has been popular for 20+ years, it's not going anywhere.

Nate, it was announced that the comic was no longer gonna be a monthly, it was gonna be a Quarterly…or was it Bi-monthly? I forget these days…

And there was no specific date mentioned in relation to that update.

Except it was solicited as a monthly (in Previews 3 months in a row, IIRC), and the only place where I remember it being listed as bi-monthly was Graham crackers – of course, GC also cancelled pre-orders for the comic!

As for this “no date” nonsense; the solicit in Previews suggests a timeframe which is why 88MPH kept having to re-solicit its materials because they were, and are, late.

To quote Ray (*ray) (not exactly, but what the hey): "Would somebody hose please?"
