I've noticed a few things that might point to Gozer being a part of the new game. First off, in the GameInformer article, they feature a line spoken in the game about the Library ghost reading a Gozerian Codex. Also, IGN posted some pics found here: http://snipurl.com/24jx6

one of the buildings is listed as Shandor's Tomb referring to Ivo Shandor. there is also a creature at this link called a Gozerian Crab demon. what do you all think?

I fixed the link for you, if it's a really long one like the Game Informer one I recommend using SnipURL to cut it down so you know it'll all work properly.

The extent of Gozer's role is still unknown, although I believe one article said the main villain specifically wasn't Gozer, and that Stay Puft was a fairly early-on boss level. The Gozerian Crab and the codex are likely tied into a museum exhibit about Gozer and a recent wave of interest in him/her/it.

Gozer does indeed make an appearance in the game but in another pre chosen form. I wonder what it will look like this time around. Maybe in a clever twist Gozer will turn out to be the new recruit which you have been controlling through the game and you have to defeat it at the end using the other Ghostbusters. Could be the biggest twist in a game ever!

It's great to see all those familiair elements back into the game. It would be great that Gozer woule be still pissed at the ghostbusters and this time he has trapped the original team. Maybe one of the missions is saving the original team. Maybe the game makers will use the original ending that was in the book making ghostbusters where we see art of another terible transformation of gozer. I am also wondering what kind of new evil will play a role in this game and of course the new client. I have read somewhere that again a woman is involved.
