Please god don't let CGI be involved. Why can't hollywood be more creative? I love Gremlins and can already see a Transformers-esque CGI effects film.

The last ‘official’ word from Warner Bros. is they were planning on revisiting the franchise as a “direct-to-dvd” sequel for their “Warner Premiere” imprint…But much like their similar “Beetlejuice” installment they were looking at, it never materialized…

Oh, thank god!

Funnily enough I wrote a Gremlins 3 when I was young on our first PC (an Amiga)

It was set soon after Gremlins 2, and it revolved around the demolition of the building with the stone gargoyle gremlin on the roof (immune to sunlight) and it eventually became wet from the rain.

I guess you can kinda say it was going back to more of the horror roots of the original… and I guess Pitch Black is what it mostly ended being like in my head.
