I think you've taken this just a bit
too personally, as I wasn't bashing the idea nor the fact you posted it. And as you can see, I wasn't the first to post that I didn't think it was the Firehouse block. And the thing is, you did say “it looks like the Firehouse block”, rather than “I think it looks like the Firehouse block”, and the absense of a ‘I think’ could be construed by those reading that you thought that the building could've been the Firehouse. I don't believe it was a unfair conclusion to come to from our point of view, even though that wasn't what you meant to say.
I know there are comments I make that aren't popular and have rubbed people the wrong way, but the thing about pulling the free speech card is that it's a double edged sword. You're perfectly entitled to say what you've said, but under that very same right of free speech I am as entitled to comment on what you've said.
However, whilst we all enjoy the ‘subjective free speech’ (as it's not a completely true version of free speech as it's subject to this forum's rules, as it is with every other place a person can post publically on the internet) it isn't actually a right, nor is it enforced and there are almost surely forums that have taken this into account in order to limit what people can say. So whilst there's no danger of it leaving us, I'd also be wary of taking it for granted.
As for why you've seen me around a lot, that's part of my job as Moderator. In order to make sure inappropriate content isn't being posted, we have to check
every active topic. This was the case a number of months back where spambots would post in
every active topic, and even someinactive ones. True, this doesn't mean I have to comment on everything, and I don't. There are some topics I've watched but haven't posted in. I do like to contribute to discussions whenever I can, and I'm sorry that you take exception to this.
That said, I do not judge you on how you spend your own free time, even if it didn't seem the best use of that time so I would hope you'd return the courtesy, especially when as far as I'm aware, you don't really know that much about me or my private life off of the forums.
I've encountered a few people who have accused me of thinking I'm ‘a Ghostbusters god’ or that I'm bashing everyone and everything. Neither are true, I've never once claimed to be a god amongst the converted and there are plenty of instances where there are people who are much more suited for a particular subject then I. In addition, it may not seem as obvious but I do give positive commentary on things ranging from props, to stories and covering developments both within and beyond the community.
I think I can Write what ever I want and Care less what u think even though u are a moderator
And no, you can't. Returning to the earlier subject of free speech per the forum rules, you can only write whatever you want as long as it doesn't violate the forum rules. And if you did something that broke the rules even if you didn't care what I thought, another moderator would most likely take issue with it and let you know about it.
And of course, the thing that makes this all rather silly in my mind is, once again, I wasn't actually bsahing you, or the topic. I don't dislike this topic, I was just registering my belief that you were wrong in the belief that that block looked like the Firehouse block. I realise that there are times my constructive criticism and occasionally my unintended unconstructive criticism elicit the incorrect response from the people they're targeted, and I'm sorry about that. But rest assured, you're not being bashed, if you were it'd be pretty clear I was bashing you.
:p
If you have any more issues to raise I'd encourage you to either send me a Private Message so that these can be resolved without running the topic off-topic any further, or you file a complaint with Chad.
