The Eddie Murphy movie wasn't all that bad, and seemed pretty faithful to the Walt Disney World ride.

I'm intrigued, but I don't think this is neccesary… and I'm a bit unsure about Del Toro, as I was quite disappointed with Hellboy 2.

I'm interested to see what Guillermo Del Toro can bring to this movie. Since he has done movies like Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, and Blade II; I'm hoping he'll bring a darker tone to the movie.

I look forward to this. Never saw the Eddie Murphy movie, but I love the ride and it can easily be the basis for a dark and spooky Horror film.

Pan's Labyrinth

There's a parody of the Pan's Labyrinth movie poster somewhere on the intarwebs. The movie's title is replaced with the phrase, Mommy, I'm scared… in the same font.

Bring it on, Mr. Del Toro.:-)

You know, back in my day, when a movie “underperformed” they just didn't make any more of them, and went on to try something else.

Now they just “reboot” it, which means “We're putting out the same crap with a different paint job, and know our audience is either too stupid to remember the last movie came out only a few years ago, or too scared to try something that doesn't have a brand name they recognize to care.”

I thought the Eddie Murphy film was fun, I actually liked it better than Pirates of the carribean which I for some reason could never get into.
Never heard of this Del Toro guy, but I am all for a another movie like this. But what's with all the rebooting and remaking nowadays? If you don't want it to have anything to do with the first one just make a loose sequel with new characters.
