Happy 20th Anniversary Ghostbusters 2

With all the attention payed to the 25th anniversary of the first movie, I forgot that GB2 was 20 years old as well.

Wow, where does the time go. I remember seeing it in theatres and and every boy in the school playground being obsessed with it.

It's not as good as the first, but it gets a very unfair reputation IMO.

I love both movies.

I'm starting to think that Hi-C is not going to re-release Ecto-Coolers for the 25 anniversary. :-(

dont even know where to begin with this movie, this started it all for me. I was 5 years old. I barley remember seeing it except that the GB car was promoting the movie in my mall. What an amazing sight. Ever since ive been hooked like nothing else. No other movie has done anything like the GB movies or ever will, happy late anniversary!

Now if only we could get Ghostbusters 2 on blu ray…

And alas, my Hi-C dreams are the same as jackbtripper.

I remember going out with some friends of the family to see another movie, and behold I saw a teaser poster for Ghostbusters II in the lobby of the cinema we were in. I was thrilled since I had seen the oringinal film about 8 or 9 times all ready and watched RGB every Saturday morning. This was the first movie I watched twice in the cinemas when it was new.

I remember having some nightmares with Vigo in them for a long time and for a while stopped watching the film, thought once I became a born again Ghosthead I gladly watched watched it as many times as I have the first. Even if it not perfect I still love it, getting to see the Ghostbusters fight the ghosts and make us laugh at the same all over again.

I am hoping that when the film comes to Blu ray that it is loaded up with special features and not left out in the cold, thought the 2005 DVD is pretty decent even if all you get for a bonus is two RGB epsiodes which reference the two films stories.

I first heard about it due to all the commercial advertisements for it on TV.

I was 7 at the time. My parents took me…and at the time, I hated it, as it scared me $#!+less.

You shoulda heard me in the theater…I was wailing and crying like crazy, it scared me so much. I wouldn't even go into dark places after seeing it, for a while.

Years later, I would challenge myself to watch it, over time having no problems whatsoever. I totally realize why that is now…and love it now more than ever.

While it's actually Real Ghostbusters that makes me love the franchise as much as I do, the two films are favorites of mine..though I still prefer the sequel.

I'm also dying for a poster of the painting of Vigo to be released, as well as a sweet, sweet action figure.

In fact, Vigo is the penultimate action figure for me; if they make that, I can metaphorically “die a happy man”. Oh sure…I want action figures of other stuff pretty badly, but Vigo takes the cake for me; I want one of him more than anything else.

Hey, here's an idea on how GB2 could have been improved.

Wouldn't it be funny if Batman '89 invaded/attacked Ghostbusters II at the big climax in the museum?
