m'eh, I work for a call center (PartSelect.com - EasyApplianceParts.com - ApplianceHelp.com - PartSelect.ca)

as long as I don't have anything vulgar on my shirt & my clothes aren't torn or ratty or dirty, than I am good to go.

So: I wear geek shirts apleanty. Be it GB or one of my many video game shirts

I envy you…unless you are customer support…if you are customer support I pity you

I am customer support, but it's a bucketload better than my old job (I was supervisor in a pizza shop).

I love this job cuz I get paid more, I sit on my arse all day on the computer, and I don't have to look my customers in the face. AND I'm in an air-conditioned environment as opposed to sweating my ass off.

Life is good.

To each there own I guess. I just would hate having to work in customer service support due to consumers that can be as assholish as myself

Meh

I just smile, knowing I'll never meet these people, and that they can be assholes all they want, I'm not going to let their frustrations bring me down

not to hijack the thread, but I just gotta ask…whats the percentage, you would say, of calls do you get that are consumer error?

For me it's just Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2.

I used to know someone that worked for a comcast cables customer service and he gave me a not too far off number of 79-80%. I find that interesting. Technically you could say, since I am a front desk clerk, that I am sorta customer service so to speak…and I have found have to say around 75% as well…

Sorry…I am just fascinated by those numbers…

Anyway….back on topic.

I am glad that I was able to finish watching Ghostbusters with the commentary track yesterday. Monday evening I go to my martial arts class and I was worried that I would be to tired to watch the film after I came home. For a movie that is 25 years old, I most say I still like as much as the first time I watched all years ago. This movie helped start my interest in special effects and how movies are made, I still can't understand why the film did not win that Oscar for best visual effects back in the day.

Still special effects are only part of why I like this movie, it has one the best stories ever in a comedy and I am glad that unlike comedies made today it does not need bathroom humor or sex jokes to make the viewers laugh.
