Happy 25th, Ghostbusters. I've probably saw this one movie more times in my life than I'll ever see any film. The first movie I loved as a kid.
I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I had no idea it was supposed to be a Comedy until I was 10. It took multiple viewings for that to really sink in, since I was so taken by the ghost trapping aspect, and also the music and visuals. For years I thought it was just a great Sci-Fi/Horror blend. But, never once thought it wasn't the coolest thing ever. Of course for many years now, I've been enjoying it in all its glory.
Many people in my area who have never really even mentioned the film, are talking a lot about this year being the 25th anniversary. Which is odd, but still very cool to see.
