I don't get it how people let themselve open to such new concept
On the start, if you have the right equipment, and a good normal tv, you can receive beautiful images.
Now the industry throw: “with the hd technology, you will experience something incredible!”. Ok HD is new and we got new flat screen etc…
But what will we receive with that??? no more normal transmission!
We will lose our right for free informations! You will need to buy a box to add to your old tv to get everydays normal channels! Oh you will need that box for your beautiful 5000$ dollar flat screen LCD too! Well if you don't have cable or satellite.
Think of it, we will be more the industry's pets! They will be more abble to “read” what the general public like to watch. They will focus their new products on that…
Now let say a danger is coming to town, like godzilla, staypuft or something ( :p ), ok ok war, disaster, what you want, and you dont have that technology, you will join the club of “the last to know about it” if you have no luck!
Let say you got bad weather, you have satellite and you loose transmission, there's a big warning coming up but you get nothing: you cant even look at the normal tv for info to hear about it!
HDtv promotion is a lie that hide something else
