The new toy-line was officially dead with the release of samurai He-Man and Skeletor.

The New TMNT line is already going back to the old gimmicks that killed the original figure series as well.

I don't know, I was at Target this weekend and it looks like they've already started dressing up the Turtles in pointless costumes. If they're already stretching THAT badly for ideas I don't really expect that things will get much better.

Batman would kick He-Man's ass. So would Conan (c'mon…Conan has killed hundreds and hundreds of bad guys and shit. He doesn't need powers to win, and even though He-Man does, and does have powers, Skeleton is still alive (well, I wouldn't exactly say that, considering that he's reputedly a lich and all)).

Of course He-man's dead!! You knew that as soon as the new figures hit the pegs in Wal*Mart!

And, in the new Toyfare, a guy from Playmates says that the Turtles are only in their "EXTREME“ gear because the Tutels were dressed like that in the intro. There will be no more variants like ”Cave-Turtle“ Leo or ”Pizza-and-Beer Guzzling“ Mike, only one more variant wave where they have ”Junkyard Armor.“ Otherwise, Playmates will be focusing on the second-tier characters, like Baxter Stockman and possibly cooler versions of April and Casey.

But may He-Man rot in Hell forever.
