Heath Ledger was found dead at a New York Apartment this afternoon. No details are known as of now, but he was found with sleeping pills near his body. This is truly tragic, no one would have thought he would be one to use drugs, if that was the cause. I was almost in tears when I heard this.

I just saw this article about it on the yahoo homepage
Holy f*ck, I thought you were making sh*t up at first! But it's true!
Talk about synchronicity, I literally just watched two episodes of “Roar” earlier today, but was completely oblivious until now.
This is SERIOUSLY a shock & tragedy to me. A lot of artists die, you know, but rarely someone this young, and talented, and with so much potential! It's actually quite sickening; I've been a huge fan for several, several years. Poor, poor guy. It just isn't right….

IÂm really anxious to hear what the official cause of death was.

Overdose of drugs I think. That's what CNN said anyway, something about an overdose.
Although I don't really know who the actor is, I only just found out because he apparently just finished filming Batman, Dark Knight where he plays the Joker.
Even though I hardly know his work, said to see another person go.
RIP (*egon)

They said something about his prescriptions being next to the bed. I think it was an accident. Its sad to see him go. I was looking forward to seeing him at the celebration for the opening of Dark Knight. Man I miss seeing Roar on SciFi. They need to bring that back. Maybe I'll watch Knights Tail tonight. My friend drew up a few pictures of him as the Joker a couple of weeks ago. Wonder if he'll leave them down in the city at the apartment building.
…also, from what I've heard he was having trouble sleeping, work-related stress, and pneumonia too. He was taking some sleeping pills to help. I highly doubt it was suicide. Just a horrific accident….

Yes, it's shocking news. I remember seeing it on the cover of People magazine at work last week and at first just wondering if it was some kind of practical joke. I'll admit that at first I cynically assumed he died from a drug overdose(People magazine's cover mentioned him as being driven to “excess”), but after reading more into it lately, it seems not to have been quite the case. I wasn't familiar with much of his work, but I do know he must have been a really good actor to be selected for such a high-profile role as the Joker. It's unfortunate to see him die at such a young age. (;_
